There is a lot of argument about COVID and how to treat or stop it. A recent study https://bjsm.bmj.com/content/early/2021/04/07/bjsports-2021-104080 has shown that people that meet physical activity guidelines (150 minutes a week, 2 1/2 hours) have a reduced risk for hospitalization and death resulting from COVID.
You might say that sounds like a lot, but if you split it up throughout the week that’s about
20 minutes of activity per day.
Other studies have shown that people that are active everyday fair better than people that try to do 2 1/2 hours once a week with strength, general wellness, and emotional health. You can help yourself move in this direction by simply increasing you activity level.
Doing things like going for a walk, jog, or bike ride are all fairly simple things into your day to day. In the picture below I took a quick walk to get my body moving before I headed to work.

Also there are tons of 20 minute workouts available both free and paid online. More and more places are having in person classes which will help increase your sense of community and wellbeing which can further reduce risk. You don’t have to do this everyday but you will feel better if you carve out some time everyday to help you manage your body and health.
